We are excited to announce the return of the Hometown Heroes Loan Program. On October 27th, the Florida Housing Board of Directors approved the allocation of $36 million dollars to the Hometown Heroes Loan Program. This highly successful program assisted over 13,000 eligible first-time borrowers who live and work in Florida.
Due to the immense success of this program, the decision has been made to fund the program with new assistance on Monday, November 6th. We anticipate that the $36 million dollar funds will be fully committed quickly after the release based on the previous demand for this program.
After these funds are completed, the anticipation of further refunding for the HTH Program is not expected until sometime in 2024. Reservations for these loans will need to be made for loans that will meet the program's timeline of 60 days from the Loan Reservation to the Loan Purchase by the servicer. So if you are looking to purchase a home in the next 60 days, this is your call to action. The time to get connected with us to check your eligibility for this program is now. If you are considering purchasing a home sometime next year, this is a perfect time to get in contact with us and discuss the opportunity of making a move sooner rather than later. So you can secure a loan while the funds are available. We look forward to hearing from you and assisting you in being the next to get up to $35,000 of the first mortgage loan amount in down payment and closing cost assistance.
